Cornelia van Voorst, in her first public outing as the AbbeyChurch's Artist in Residence, presents an exhibition of ink paintings and installation that bears witness to the presence of love that sustains and nourishes our world even if we are unaware of it.

Love practiced by ordinary people, of untold stories of courage and resilience that may never make it into history books, TV or the news, are honoured by the depiction of neighbourhood roses that resist many layers of ink, bringing to mind the enduring qualities of kindness and compassion. This weekend is the last opportunity to see this powerful and beautiful show, which was the Times Colonist critic's pick last week.
