 ed) to worship the God of liberating love and to be nourished and sent to 
 reflect that love and justice and peace in our lives and world.\nIf you ca

 an watch sermons posted on our YouTube page.\nWe come as doubters and scep
 tics. We come with a passionate faith and with wounded hearts. We come kno
 wing that God meets us right where we are!   We also have AbbeyKids most
  Sundays for our younger AbbeyChurch-ers.\nWe accept all at Jesus' table o
 f communion.  We welcome and are enriched by the full participation\, lea
 dership and inclusion of LGBTQ2IA+ folks in our community.  The AbbeyChuc
 h performs marriages with all sexual orientations and gender identities.\n
 The AbbeyChurch is a Christ-centred\, Trinitarian ministry of the neo-mona
 stic Emmaus Community which seeks to live out faith daily\, not just on 
 Sundays though commitments to prayer\, presence and simplicity.\nAs a comm
 unity we pray together most weekdays and seek to live lives of hospitality
  including with those on the margins of our society.\nAs a community we ha
 ve a commitment to prayer\, presence and simplicity. AbbeyChurch members a
 re welcome to participate in the life of the Emmaus Community as they wish
 .\nWe are a shared ministry of the Anglican Diocese of British Columbia 
 (aka Diocese of Islands and Inlets) and the Pacific Mountain Region of 
 The United Church of Canada. We are in full communion with the Evangelic
 al Lutheran Church in Canada (via the ACC) and the Christian Church (Disci
 ples of Christ)\, The United Church of Christ and the United Methodist Chu
 rch (USA) via the UCC.\nWe also connect with the NewLeaf Network\, The Le
 aderShift Church Planting Project\, Centre for Missional Leadership (Ecume
 nical Church Planting Gatherings)\, The Wild Church Network - and the Par
 ish Collective.
